A very fun car, no doubt, but I think that it's more of the retro appeal (I don't know why, but I like some of the boxiness of that era) and motoring significance of the Quattro that does it for me. Also, my last car before moving to NYC (and going without a car for 10 years) was a not-too-distant cousin - '90 90 quattro 20V - so much fun in the muck and thinking about the upcoming winter is bringing up nostalgic longing. Maybe it'll pass. We'll see.
See, I imprinted on cars in the mid-90s, so the 80s boxiness just looks old to me.
