I cannot recommend chain-L enough, I just reordered and received my new bottle yesterday.

Choice in chain lubes is apparently a very personal thing. I've tried Chain-L myself and agree it lasts longer between applications. So does heavy weight hypoid gear oil. Problem is - I've seen no first hand evidence myself that a longer lasting chain lube extends the life of the drive train and a lot that indicates that a drive train that gets cleaned and lubed frequently does last longer. And I haven't figured out how to clean a chain thouroughly without scrapping the lube.
So I clean and lube every few hundred kilometers. Good chainrings and cassettes cost more than a chain and I want to minimize wear on all surfaces.
