I was an ATV racing enthusiast back in my day so I dug out some of my riding compression shorts and just wear them under a pair of shorts for now. The budget is being worked on. I've already got a seat pack for both my and her bike and I have a spare tube, tire levers, nitrile gloves, a tube patch kit, a Co2 inflater with two cartridges, and a set of all the allen keys required for adjustments.
I just ordered a 1/4" drive click type torque wrench and assembled a selection of tools out of my auto tools to make a functional toolbox for bike work. I also sat on the front porch watching it rain as I practiced removing and reinstalling wheels and tires on either bike.
I'm waiting to see what I break or "really need" before spending my money. If all goes well a pair of $40 riding shorts with a chamois will be purchased soon and after that a pair of entry level road pedals and some LAKE shoes for about $140. Thanks to the search function on this forum I've found out about Lake and their website has a size guide for width and length of your foot with correlating size. If they measure like they say they do a euro 46 should actually fit me in their wide make.
Thanks for the welcome fella's
