Get the 105's. I had Tektro brakes on my Specialized Allez and felt the braking was sub par. At the time I was 250 lbs at 6'3". I swapped for a pair of 105 brakes with stock pads and the braking power and modulation/feel was very noticeably better. I got a pair of new 105 brakes off eBay for $60.
