So i have a question about the actual amount of use an alloy freewheel is good for. All the info i can find are people whining about the limited life of alloy freewheel and how expensive they are. Out of curiosity i am wondering how long did they actually last and what happens when they wear out? For example a Campagnolo 6 speed freewheel. How many miles/amount of time roughly under normal riding conditions would this be good for? When severve wear sets in what happens? Poor shifting? Chain skip? Actual facts would be appreciated. Thanks.
