Out of the six years I have been doing it the last two were very windy at first. Year before last there was about 12 miles of blow you off the road wind if you didn't pay attention. Once you made to turn towards Dillon it was at your back and by the time we got to the AA truck stop it was fine. Last year it was about half as much wind at the start but it stayed cool all day. The other 4 years it was not bad.
