I bought my first car when I was 25 yrs old.. Before that I was car-free and I used public transit a lot, I walked, hitchhiked and occassionally I would borrow a car. After I bought my first car I lived a very car-centric lifestyle until I was 37. I've owned few different types of vehicles.. Then at 37 years of age I started bike commuting and living car-light. I went car-free when I was 41 years old. Now I am 43 and have been car-free for the last two years.
