May be a bit premature, but I'm checking in at 5'10" @ 258 lbs and 30% body fat. I'm currently trying to settle on my first road/touring bike with my primary goal being improved fitness and health. The wife and I frequently go on long walks, but I live in a bustling suburban area, and walking around here is twelve kinds of boring - as such it always seems to take far too much time for far too little benefit (though admittedly, it's better than spending my time holding down the couch).
I tend to "over-research" things (paralysis by analysis) sometimes, but I plan on pulling the trigger on something in the next week or so. Wish me luck!
