I think it looks fine. When I sometimes consider my preference for older, spider-looking cranks, I contemplate the increased speed in micro-micro-mph of the stiffer, lighter crank and better power transfer without the ball bearings and spindle.

Over time, the increase in speed will allow you to have the time to eat one more donut at a rest stop.
And that's a good thing.

My first impression, should I walk up to it and realize it's too big to ride and therefore not one to steal, is "nice frame, nice new group, bet it rides very nicely."
