I'm going to try to draw it out on CAD and figure out how those slightly different angles will lengthen the cockpit.

BTW, we have something in common, my old Avatar was jacked too! by Garysol1. It was confusing at first to see my Avatar knowing I didn't comment on anything in a particular thread until I realized I'd been JACKED!

hehehe...sucks to get your Avatar jacked...lol. Especially after I made the dam thing on Photoshop to give it my artistic signature. It would be better if I liked the guy but H20.1 ain't too cool so it fits that a guy like him would jack it with no regret...ah the internet. Sounds like you are honing in on your solution.
BTW sweating the details in terms of dimensions will pay big dividends longer term for any frame you consider in the future and road bike fit is a moving target of sorts as our bodies change over time as well.
As you consider the 53 frame size fore...be mindful...many top tube proponents lose sight of this...that frame height, i.e. steerer tube height is as important as top tube length when it comes to riding position.
If you plug the numbers into a modest 2-D CAD program, this will become quite apparent.
Good Luck...you have great taste in bicycles!

P.S....will change my Avatar at some point or remove it...lol.
