Hello
It turns out that upgrading the entry-level
Birdy World Speed to add some disc brakes and more speeds is going to be tricky, and the
Birdy Touring disc fully equiped is quite expensive.
I prefer disc brakes instead of pad brakes because theyr aren't as reliable when riding in the rain, and I'd like more speeds than the eight available on the World Speed, especially to go up-hill.
As an alternative, I checked the
Dahon and
Tern sites.
It appears that none of the Tern bikes come with disc brakes, so that leaves Dahon.
There are three models that have disc brakes:
I'll have to add fenders and a rear-rack on the Formula S20.
What do you think?
Thank you.
