So I got an old All Pro K-Mart Special...

It was an impulse buy at a local yard sale. Almost certainly overpaid at $30, but hey. It's in reasonable condition, just needs a little work. Front tire is flat, needs new rim tape before I can fix it. Brakes need some love. Hub gear appears to work still. I'll throw some pics up shortly. Mine came without fenders, unfortunately.

I got this to fulfil two basic needs: 1) To have a tinker-with bike that was very different from my own current one and 2) Inexpensive "backup bike" in case mine goes MIA.

It certainly fills the first because it's a hub gear (mine is derailleur) and has side-pull caliper brakes (vs my linears). So, lacking opportunity to get hands on know-how for these kinds of things, I have solved that problem.

It it works well, I might kit it out with some fenders, cheap rear rack and the like. If all else fails, it's a learning experience.

Fun fun.
