I'm no DeRosa expert but I would guess that the frame is a mid 80's built frame and probably Columbus SLX as Gomango suggests. This is probably a good thing if you want to go the traditional Italian build route. You could use either Campy (old) Super/Nuovo Record or C-Record and the frame would still look the vintage goods.
I have wanted a DeRosa, like this one, for 30 years and have never been in the right place at the right time to make that dream come true.
Of course it would look great in modern guise or even with Shimano, but, in my mind, it would look best in vintage Campagnolo.
