I see a lot of deer in my area, mostly on the back roads. The closest I've come to hitting one was a few weeks ago on Atsion Road. I was cruising along at 23-24mph when I startled two deer that were in the trees just to my right. They ran out across the road, one right in front of me and one behind me...scared the crap out of me.
I had one run beside me right on my street (suburbia) on Saturday morning. It came from between two houses, ran alongside me for a few seconds, then darted off into a neighbor's back yard. We have way too many deer around here.
