Need brazing in Chicago area
I'm putting together a build using a chrome-moly Univega Superstrada frame, and I need some brazing done. I don't have the proper torches to do the work, so I'd prefer to have someone with the right equipment and experience handle it.
I will need a cable stop brazed on the downtube, and some threaded eyelets brazed on the rear dropouts for a rack mount. I would also like to have some threaded bosses brazed on the seat stay or seat tube at the top, also for mounting a rear rack.
I will finish the build before having the frame painted, so that everything is working, lined up, and no extra bits to remove.
Is it possible to braze a bracket for a coaster brake arm on the left side chainstay? I would certainly look cleaner than a strap around the chainstay but I'm not sure how you'd handle the forward and backward range of movement of the wheel to properly tension the chain.
Any recommendations? Suggestions?
Thanks in advance.
