I see some more great pics of great rides

Caveman: Hurricane Ridge is now on my Bucket List. I can't believe I've never been up that in all my years in WA!

I got in 28 miles this evening. Dark and spitting rain, but not enough to wet down the tarmac, so I didn't have a big clean-up job at the conclusion. Bonus.

The ride was memorable in that it was my first halfway-serious mileage on tubulars for the first time in over a decade. Scozim: who needs fast-twitch muscle fibers when one has a lightweight wheelset with tubs? These things wound up something fierce, but the real benefit (and revelation) was the ride-quality. While only 23mm tires, it felt like I was riding on a cloud. Fantastic! I'd like to say I'm a convert - until I flat one of these babies...

For now, however, I'll just be over the moon about it
