Last time I got hit, it somehow wedged itself under the top of my helmet strap and got me right on top of the ear.

I can't ever recall being stung while riding my bike and I've put in more than a few miles! I have, inadvertently, eaten a few bugs. They always taste bad!
Honey bee, furry yellow body/black or dark brown stripes. Yellow jacket, smooth black body/yellow stripes.

In my whole life, I've been stung by no honey bees and only one bumble bee. Paper wasps, once when I blundered into a nest picking blackberries. I've lost count of the number of times I've been nailed by yellow jackets. Hate the little bastages.

The good thing is that they've gotten me so many times that I know I'm not allergic.
