In all honesty, what I would gain out of the trade would be a cool carbon frame/fork. I would probably immediately replace the carbon steerer fork with an alloy steerer fork and then keep the rest of the frame the same.

Anixi knows the fellow who would be trading it to me and I generally end up with the positive end of the deal. I love carbon. I really enjoy my Sequoia bike but just would like some coolness that the full carbon frame would get me at bike rides and whatnot. Call me shallow but hey,when you are a giant fat rider, you like to be envied at times.

I'm just wondering if a lot of the posted bike weight limits I see for popular bike companies (Specialized/Trek/Cannondale/etc) are mainly based upon the wheels moreso than the frames/forks?
