grow into a 29er or go with the 27.5 that feels natural
Hey woody here and I'm new to the forum I'm buying my first entry lvl mtn bike
Next week and have pretty much decided on getting a giant talon .Before I get to my big quetion here is a little about myself that may help you help me . First the dirt , I actually got a dui and have lost my driver lic for 3 years imma about a year and a half through that 3 year strech hope you won't judge me for drinking and driving was going through a lot when that happened . Part of my punishment is I have to go to aa for 16 weeks and a class called task for 16 months ,this is relevent because it will help explain the kind of riding I will be doing . I live in southern California in the Mojave desert while I plan on doing some down hill riding I recently blew out my right shoulder at the gym. With that in mind two trips to aa two trips two class plus whatever other transportation needs cone up I'm not one to stay on the pavement when I can cut through the desert one way or another no matter where I go I also have every kind of trail you could think of it. Is a down hillers paradise as well as cross country and since I'm in a valley long straight aways the terrain around me inspires alotbof dirt activities from dirt bikes to rock crawlers . Ok so now that everyone is good and jealous about the type of terrains I have at my finger tips here is my Big question I test drove the 29er and the 27.5 inch giant
Talon I was thinking I wanted the 29er but when I road it it didn't feel natural the words big and clumsy come to mind then I tried the 27.5 and it fit like a glove . So seems like a no brainer but my fear is that the 29er is better suited for what's around me not to say that the 27.5 isn't but before I drop 725 bucks on the 27.5 or a 900 bucks on the 29er I want to know does the 29er feel like that to everyone their first ride and eventually ill get used to it or is the 27.5 more than enough bike and I should capitalize on the confidence I felt the second I started to ride it?
