What era? A lot of bikes I saw in the 70's and 80's had Dia-Compe brakes. Plenty of those available on the used market. I have a pair of Modolo calipers taken off an 80's Benotto if you are interested in them. I don't know how good a brake they really are as I have not actually ridden with them nor tried adjusting them. I may have some others in my parts box.
