I believe we have decided to go with the OEM "Barracuda" or "roofrush" racks for our Volkswagen. They are made by MONT BLANC which is a european company and can hold bikes up to 35 pounds (ours are 31) they also support bikes with fenders as they only grab the down tube. Should work great!
