Group ride Saturday, copying the route of the uber-fast group, but slower. 94 miles, hot, & (inasmuch as ridewithgps can be believed) 9,000' climbing.

I took a spill on highway 1 between honking ******** and no shoulder- front wheel went off edge of pavement into soft stuff, & I couldn't correct.

Not too bad- some road rash, but my buddy following ran over me & broke RD hanger. He ended up getting rides home in time to watch the football game, so after I buy him a few beers, we'll be set. Had just found out that another buddy endo'd his Mtn bike & broke collarbone, so I was careful not to stick my hands out in the fall.
