I'd want to see it all from the other side. The hacked to bits plastic cover
probably just pops off approached from the rear. I'm guessing its miles
easier from the rear to do whatever you want to do. There is no reason
to use plastic caps that would be hidden by the hacked off plastic cover.

I reckon a big drill bit from the back is easy peasy stuff. Drill off the
rivet flanges and then ease the rings off what is left of the rivets.

You can only remove two of the 3 rings, big and small.
