True enough, but that is no reason for those who can afford it, even if only on the basis of interest-free monthly payments, not to take advantage. Everyone's circumstances are different. The ultra-conservative credit-is-always-evil attitude is helpful to some fraction of the population. But let those who can manage credit just fine do so without the oppressive and inappropriate recitation of the imaginary litany of evils. The fact that many can and do use and manage credit wisely as an important tool in their financial toolbox should be encouraging and inspirational to everyone. Credit is a lubricant that can smooth the progress of our lives and keep the US economy humming along when used properly. Why on the 41 does it bring out such dogmatic criticism?
