Bikes: 1830 Claude Chevrier Strad model, 1915 Gibson A, 1929 Cuesnon/Beuscher Stainer model, Phil Davidson 2pt mandolin, 1970 JW Gallagher G-50, ca1920 Favilla Brothers grand concert, 2005 Swift Folder, '97 Cannondale M700

I was going to wait till I got over here to start posting these - promise I'll try to keep it down to a minimum - but I'm in Paris, Fr. where the idiot hipsters fixie fad is still at an absolute epidemic level.
for example - http://www.leboncoin.fr/velos/532699621.htm?ca=12_s

Most notably the fantasy that converting a gas-pipe, bike boom era bike into a fixie or a single speed somehow increases the value. Second most common offense is suggesting that a perfectly functional machine would be an ideal candidate for the conversion.

"le cadre peut convenir pour une transformation en fixie." yes, you could, but please don't - it's bad enough you blow tons of money on skinny jeans and that stupid haircut so you can look like you're poor.

fortunately, there's enough folks posting to the classifieds here in France that understand that you find these bikes in the trash all day long - you just have to be willing to get **** on your shoes
