Yes leather saddles will creak, try the beeswax or use Proofide on the underside where the leather meets the metal. Also make sure all the adjustment points are tight.
I usually lace up my leather saddles. That seems to prevent a lot of sag and squeak. Some saddles like the B17 come pre-drilled... so you just have to buy a pair of shoe laces.
