Yesterday I heard a joke from a kid. "Why don't you play cards with a wild cat? Because he might be a cheetah." I didn't argue the point that clearly cheetahs can't play cards because they lack the mental capacity and memory, not to mention opposable thumbs. Clearly the right answer is that a wild cat would maul you, but arguing the point would have been ridiculous.
And all too many folks forget that much of the body language that can convey a 'joke' in person is lost on electronic communications. I have found it best to never underestimate the degree to which people can believe ridiculous things, such as "the largest car salesman in the history of cars could have been 'car free'"

That doesn't sound much more ridiculous than someone claiming to be 'car-free' even though they rely on motor vehicles owned by someone else for much of their transportation needs... (ie, cabs, buses, etc...)
