I personally like flat-pedals for bombing around town, just because clipping in/out all the time is a PITA and let's face it, I'm skeered I'll botch it and fall over one of those times.

But for all else I sure like clipless. Toe cages make my feet numb if they are tight enough to be useful, and are sketchy themselves to get in/out of unless your shoes have no tread to 'em.
