I understand that the Surly LHT comes with an Andel crankset, so this is a top contender, my bike is the just released Straggler:

Go with the Shimano. Dead simple to install. I would swap the inner ring to a 22 or, if you want bragging points, a 20 (which you can find on Fleabay).
