The main selling points on the Langster for me were: it's an aluminum frame with track geometry, the 52.5mm bottom bracket drop (with the 52) and two sets of bottle cage mounts. I do also like the road bike aesthetic it has. I'm basically a "track bike roadie", since I ride on the road more than the track. Haha!!
