Case in point... my Moulden rolls on 26 by 2.0 tyres (70 psi) on 32 spoke wheels and is plenty fast.

I am a big fan of high volume tires as well! They make life a little easier on wheels, they feel much better usually, and rolling resistance does not change a ton.
