Safety or color matching your bike?

I just bought a winter jacket the other day that is hi vis yellow because it's dropping into the 50's now and i wanted to be seen on cloudy cool days.

But during the days it's still reaching the 80's and I want to get my first cycling jersey. Not a team jersey , just a plain colored jersey for casual riding. Anyways my bike it red and black and so is my helmet, my shorts and winter pants are also black. The jersey I want is bright red and black or a high vis yellow. Should I stick with my bike colors or go with the bright high vis yellow jersey? The red one is still visible though.

I guess I'm wanting to know is it normal to wear high vis yellow yearly? Or can I tone it down a bit during the summer to red?
