Then you need intervals. I do 4 sets of 20/30 seconds all out sprints with 20 seconds rest, 5 minute rest between sets. This will definitely get your heart a notch fitter but first make sure you are healthy and your heart can handle.
Thanks, yes I had a stress test and my heart can handle it. I will start doing intervals on the trainer. It should make my road rides a little faster.
