Well, we sold the old tandem so any form of A/B comparison is out, other than my knowledge of kit and dimensions. It would be an interesting test to somehow carry an additional 15lbs with us down that hill, just to see. Anyway, I think TG's experience probably best reflects what we're seeing. We, too have an extended stoker compartment (+1.5"), so a much happier stoker is all worth it.
