I think it also does not help that there's just not enough people here in the US know or remember that a certain American named Greg Lemond rode a Gitane to a first American championship in the TDF.....sad....
And most of the ones that do will only consider owning the one that looks exactly like the one that Greg rode.....
Heck!, If I did not already own a Peugeot PSV, I would most likely own an 80's Gitane TDF or Criterium, both of which sported a very similar Supervitus frame
