Let me add a note about offers before you get even get a chance to inspect.

If you offer before seeing and then it turns out the bike is worth nowhere near your offer, now you're in a worse spot than if you had just asked to see the bike. The seller's argument will be, "hey, you offered, now where's my money?"

I don't take offers. Each post says firm price / cash only / no offers or trades please. If someone emails me (only way to get ahold of me) with an offer or trade, I delete the email without responding.

Now that doesn't stop some folks from making an offer in person. If they do, I'll say, did you read the whole post? I don't take offers. Pause. If they look hesitant, I'll start wheeling the bike away.

That will produce one of two results: Either they get their money out very quickly at my original price, or they suddenly see I'm not interested in wasting time around offers and leave. I show bikes in my backyard. After wheeling the bike into the garage, I've left many a person standing there in my backyard dumbfounded. In my mind, there is no deception - I've stated my terms up front. If you don't like them, fine, but no bike for you.
