I'm sure you could find a nice person in your local area who would be gracious enough to take a look at your bicycle and fix it for free or the cost of a cup of coffee. I know I would. If you lived near me you could come over right now and I'd do it. But you have to be willing to give a little to reap that kind of cooperation, and well, I don't see that happening here.
