What I was talking about- the surface of the pedal that the clip attaches to is rounded instead of flat. I had to bend the mounting surface of the clip to match the arc of the pedal cage.

I had to take them off last night. WICKED toe overlap. Because the pedal is already larger (from front to back) than an ordinary pedal- the forward extension of the clip REALLY limited the range the wheel could turn. I seriously could not turn out of the driveway while pedaling.

This is on a a 1986 Voyageur.
