Specialized has great helmets, if they fit you. They all meet SNELL certification in addition to CPSC. The differences from the cheapest Echelon to the top of the line S-works Prevail are weight and styling. The MTB version of the Echelon is the Align if you want a visor. Both weigh in the vicinity of 300 grams depending on size, which is still lighter than a lot of more expensive helmets.
