So a reach setup for a B115 or a rando design (randonneur bars sweep up, not back) will feel shorter if you switch to a Noodle.
Gran Bois, Nitto Noodles and the B115 are made in 26.0 and 25.4 clamp diameters. Also, some bars have ramps/drops that are more parallel than those of the B115, and I think they aren't Nittos for the most part. Look for the Maes bend.
Agree with your points, I went back and checked a set of Belleri's to noodles and they are about a horse apiece in terms of net reach. Here's how I'd put it now that I've had a chance to compare them side by side. When comparing the upswept rando bar to the back swept noodle, I find the noodle feels longer, probably due to it being lower. I wound up eventually switching to a shorter stem after swapping the Bellleri's out for the noodles. YMMV of course, but something to think about when having to spring for a stem in addition to the bars.
Where can you find noodles in the 25.4 size (might save me on a new stem for a future build)?
