Do not assume that I don't have a point, just b/c you are unwilling or unable to see my point.

The prospective buyer-- the person who would actually be purchasing a given bike to actually ride-- doesn't need you to douse the tubes in wd-40 and wrap the bars in electrical tape, and they certainly don't need to pay a premium for that kind of "service". They could have done that themselves, although they'd be more likely to do a real refurb, wouldn't they?

My point is, someone might buy the bike anyway b/c it's a particular bike that they really wanted or they needed something fairly affordable really quick. But, more than likely, they're going to resent all of your poorly executed attempts to "fix" their bike, and the fact that you somehow made money off of wd40 and electric tape.
