I've only got about 250 miles on my bike and I ride in an urban environment. Lots of side streets and traffic. If you are on public roads I have to say.. get a blinking tail light and head light. It could save your life multiple times. I ordered mine last week as I was almost killed by a cellphone talker driving a jeep grand cherokee who didn't see me as she gunned it across the street I was riding along. (in the bike path on the proper side of the street wearing green jersey and white helmet)...
