Hmm seems my eyes deceived me last night, polishing up the stem nut I noticed it's actually 22.2 diameter with YST marking on it not 22mm but reading on the French bikes used jap components after around 1980 so could still be a European bike ? You'd think so given I've got it here in England.

I still can't pin the model down though, there are lots of subtle differences depending on the year and country of the catalogues I'm finding online. Cinelli bars and stem coupled with the seat post lead me to believe it's not the lowest of the low models but lack of screw adjusters on the rear dropouts don't put it at the high end either. The Shimano 105's don't tie up with anything that looks like mine and the Sahae chainset is a complete unknown in the catalogues too ?

The closest I've found it this http://forum.tontonvelo.com/viewtopic.php?f=30&t=10150 also this has lots of similar frame features ? http://www.flickr.com/photos/45575919@N07/4795962753/

What do you reckon guys ?
