2009 Bianchi 928: 40,000km + whatever the eBay dude put on it when I bought it in 2010.
Brand-new steel Colnago Master can't fakie off of a wall without damaging steerer and head tube and thus making the entire frameset worthless.
It's just a worthless anecdote, but I've got 50,000km+ on carbon, a broken steel Colnago, and I'm just going to ride into the future.
I'd never ride steel again unless a buddy or I built it ourselves.
