Thanks everyone for replies. Don't know why I go every 6 months. Just always have, at least for a long time. Go twice a year to the dentist too. I thought most of us over 65ers do. When I worked, our insurance was cheaper if we went in for wellness checkups twice a year (covered by ins.) and since I'm retired and older, I just keep it up and my ins/medicare covers it with no copay. I only have an actual physical once a year and the 2nd is just a simple blood workup and how's you doin type of checkup. The creatinine was the only number highlighted by the lab. I'm not overly concerned becasue it is only .01 over optimun but knew my BF friends would have some experience and be glad to share their knowledge.
