I have a ring lock and I am not worried that I will break a spoke. I have never tried to ride it with the lock in but I have tried to roll my bike forward when locked and the rear wheel just slid on the ground.

Dynaryder, thanks for the tip around the valve. It never occurred to me that this could happen. I am going to be more careful when I lock my bike.
