DG what kind of noise? There is nothing wrong with the Judy XC. It is pretty simple to work on. It has a alu. crown, they have magnesium stancions, with cro-mo slider's, and a cro-mo steer tube. The internals are simple. It has a air oil cartridge in the left leg, and a elastomer/spring with a dummy rod in the right. My reccomendation to you is dump the elastomer/spring combo and go with some Speed Springs. You can get them for your body weight. They blow the top stack you have now away.
As long as do not plan on doing drop off's and DH racing the Judy XC should hold up just fine.
