CAAD10 to CAAD10 was because carbon is more expensive. I am very happy with the way the CAAD10 rides, plus i have been told that Aluminium is more durable than carbon in terms of dents, scratches, accidents etc. Now that i know i am consistantly doing 200km+ per week and that will increase, i thought that i would upgrade gears and wheels etc. Rather than do it individually, just sell my CAAD10 for $30 dollars more than what i paid (i consider the accessories i gave away as my rent for having the bike for 6 months), and now i will have a brand new 2014 model, with uprated gear + an excellent black colour that i wanted before.

Regarding the BB30 bottom bracket, when i went to the specialized store, i noticed that they also use the BB30. i asked them if they have any customers coming in with creaking etc. they obviously aren't going to tell me major cases but they said that the BB30 does need to be maintained and should be brought in for a re-grease or service every 6 months. Since the cannondale dealer told me the same thing, it swayed me more towards the CAAD10, since both may have the same issues. If if keeps happening, i will definitely consider a different bottom bracket.

I actually emailed Chris King and asked if i can use their PF30 BB30 bottom bracket (i'm not a techie) and they said 'no' - they will not work together. The shimano option mentioned on this thread could be would looking into.
