'81 Specialized Sequoia and '85 Stumpjumper

Very nice bikes posted here! Specialized really pulled out all the stops for those Allez models!

My Specialized bikes need some attention to get them into good working order but I am miles away from them presently so they have to wait.

Here is my '81 Specialized Sequoia:

I have been looking for the correct front wheel which is a Mavic E2 rim on a Specialized Hub for some time now, so if anybody have one to spare please let me know. What is in there now is a 27" Schwinn-approved wheel with one broken spoke. That is how I got the bike. There are other things to do but that is the more important item to get for the bike first.

When this '85 Stumpjumper appeared on eBay, I got attracted to it because the paint scheme and logos looked exactly like that of my earlier acquired Sequoia. When I first saw the bike in person, my first thought was that this bike would be perfect for Zombie apocalypse if that ever occurs. It looked and felt heavy duty compared to the more lightly built Sequoia road bike. There really is more steel in this bike. The chain stays ovalized profile looked like a horizontal fork.

The 19 & 1/2" size is just right for me for city/commuter duty as this allows me upright riding without changing the original stem and handle bar.
