And, as a kid I used to chop and split, but now someone at the gas plant must do that as the wood/fire comes right into our house in the form of some sort of vapor.
Yep, although I confess I have never been very successful with that trick. That is why I always carry flint and steel when out and about. Can you still start a fire that way?
